It was an auspicious day, the 1000th Tirunakshathram of Koorathalwar who would resist the idea of going to the Kooramtemple and be blessed with the darshan of the Lord. Thinking so, a vaishnavite went to temple and while he was coming out after darshan, he was given a portrait of Sri Ramanujar by another devotee. This portrait was the one which was printed 10,000 copies by SRI RAMANUJA CHARITABLE TRUST and distributed among the devotees. He, in turn, took the photo to Chellapillai Ramanuja Dasar and Babu RamanujaDasar of Sunnambukulam. The people of Sunnambukulam were very happy to receive the photo and they wanted more copies for distributing to the villagers. This is how our vaishnavite, Chellapillai Ramanuja Dasar and Babu Ramanuja Dasar, received the photo at the temple.
As they wanted more copies of the photo of Sri Ramanujar, they contacted the SRI RAMANUJA CHARITABLE TRUST and went to the trust office. During the course of the discussions, the need to build a temple for Emperumanar(Sri Ramanujar) was felt by everyone present there, as Sri Ramanuja Charitable Trust was celebrating 2017 as the 1000th Year of Sri Ramanujar, providing free computer education to the needy. All of them went to Sunnambukulam in search of a suitable place for providing free computer education to the poor students and for the construction of a temple for Sri Ramanujar . During the second sojourn to find a place Founder of the trust Sri Sadagopa Ramanuja Dasar had lunch at Udayakumar’s house and was about to leave when the host showed him a piece of land, stating that the land belonged to Sri Ramanujar and a temple, a computer class be constructed in the place. On the one side,Udayakumar thought that the rightful owner of the land was Sri Ramanujar and on the other Sri Ramanuja Charitable Trust was looking for a suitable place to build a temple and computer class, these two thought processes were in unison. It was the divine decision that a temple for Sri Ramanujar be built in that place.
